- 8 oz Gruyère cheese, shredded

- 8 oz Emmentaler cheese, shredded
•
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
•
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
•
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
•
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
•
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
•
- 2 tablespoons Kirschwasser (cherry brandy)

3. Rub interior of fondue pot with one minced garlic clove

4. Heat wine and remaining garlic in fondue pot over medium heat until tiny bubbles form

5. Reduce heat to low and gradually add cheese mixture, one handful at a time

6. Stir constantly in a figure-8 pattern until cheese is melted and smooth

7. Add Kirschwasser, nutmeg, and pepper

8. Continue stirring in figure-8 pattern until completely blended
