Ingredients

  • - 2 lbs pork belly or shoulder, thinly sliced
  • - 6 tablespoons gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • - 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • - 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 2 tablespoons ginger, finely grated
  • - 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • - 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • - 2 Asian pears, pureed
  • - 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • - 4 scallions, bias-cut
  • - 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • - 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • - Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 11. Combine gochugaru, gochujang, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, pureed Asian pear, and sesame oil in a large bowl until well mixed
