Ingredients

  • For the Beef:
  • - 1 lb thinly sliced beef bulgogi
  • - 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • - 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • - 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • - 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • - 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • For the Bowl:
  • - 3 cups steamed white rice
  • - 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • - 1 cup julienned carrots
  • - 1 cup bean sprouts
  • - 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  • - 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • For the Signature Sauce:
  • - 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • - 2 tbsp honey
  • - 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • - 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • - 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. 11. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl. Add sliced beef and marinate 30 minutes.
  2. 22. Heat wok or large skillet over high heat. Sear marinated beef in batches until caramelized, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
