- 1 pound fresh cheese curds, chilled

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup beer (or club soda)
•
- 2 large eggs
•
- 1 teaspoon salt
•
- ½ teaspoon black pepper

- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
•
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
•
- 4-6 cups vegetable oil for frying
