Ingredients

  • - 1 pound fresh cheese curds, chilled
  • - 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 cup beer (or club soda)
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1 teaspoon salt
  • - ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • - 4-6 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  2. 22. Heat oil to 375°F in a deep fryer or heavy pot.
  3. 33. Mix 1 cup flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder in one bowl.
  4. 44. In second bowl, whisk eggs, beer, remaining flour, and baking powder until smooth.
